Today you will be taken on a half-day tour of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. With over 3,500 species of Flora and Fauna, it is regarded as one of the finest botanical gardens in the world and with the backdrop of Table Mountain, there’s nothing that can compare. There are remarkable floral displays throughout the year. There is also an exhibit of Zimbabwean stone sculptures in the sculpture garden that is fascinating.

Today you will be transferred from The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa to Franschhoek. On route you will stop for a ‘Cook-up at Kamamma’s’ lunch. This takes place at the home of a matriarch in Stellenbosch and includes a meal of traditional Xhosa fare and a talk about the culture and lifestyle of the Xhosa people. Join in to learn to make a dish or two from the menu. After the meal you will visit the Huguenot Chocolate Factory for a 40 minute demonstration and tasting (of course!). These take place Monday through Friday between 3:00pm and 4:00pm.
